Teachers

Classes are taught by certified, non-certified teachers, and teacher assistants.

The difference between the different types of teachers are:

  1. Certified Teacher: Someone who has received formal education in teaching and certification from Washington State as a teacher.
  2. Non-Certified Teacher: Someone who has at least 3 years of experience teaching a certain subject such as music or Bible.
  3. Teacher’s Assistant: Helps the students with schoolwork after the teacher has taught the lesson and assists the teacher with various tasks. May also teach non-academic courses such as Bible, Art, or Physical Education.

Teaching Method

Teaching is set up to provide effective and quality learning for the students. Each grade is taught in a class-room style, following a schedule similar to that of standard public schools: 6 periods, lunch, 2 recesses. The school week includes physical education, music, Bible class, and chapel service.
